A strong regional housing association who manage over 28,000 homes offering housing solutions from general needs to housing for people with care and support needs. Jcom have a long standing relationship with the association where we have assisted in many areas of their technology improvements over a number of years including data storage assessment and refresh, server infrastructure virtualisation, disaster recovery solutions and consultancy engagements. Recently the customer intended to enter a “technology freeze” and had decided not to renew their existing MS Select Agreement due to escalating license costs. Jcom listened to the problem and recommended a solution that was delivered in tandem with Bytes Technology. Jcom worked closely with the association to review the existing MS agreement, resulting in the customer signing a new PSA12 Enterprise Agreement, which saved the association in excess of £1m.
Jcom were able to secure license costs for 3 years and ensure the entire estate was effectively licensed and utilised the associated Software Assurance benefits moving forward.
